The life and movies of producer/director Stanley Kramer in occasion
of the 90th anniversary of his birth.
The film shows with hundred of clips and music the profile, message
and many aspects of his life in movie clips and photos. Included his
presentation of an Academy Award winner documentary in 1968 and the
Stanley Kramer memorial at the Directors Guild of America, filmed by
producer/director Juan Carlos Fauvety.
Juan Carlos Fauvety (born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1964) is a documentary
filmmaker and journalist. He lives in Buenos Aires but he kept traveling
to the U.S. and Europe for materials for his documentaries, working
as an independent filmmaker.
As a journalist, he worked during 11 years in La Nación, the
most prestigious newspaper in Argentina, and during 4 years in
Revista Gente, the most popular magazine published about entertainment
in the country last decades.
He wrote about movies and made interviews to many people of the film
industry, such as: directors Oliver Stone, Robert Wise, Jean-Jacques
Annaud, Frank Marshall and Héctor Babenco, and actors Gregory
Peck, Anthony Quinn and Robert Duvall.
As a Documentary Filmmaker, he made a 11 minute short film about producer-director
William Wyler (Williams Wyler`s World). It took him two years to make
it. This film was shown to Chuck Workman and to the Shoah Foundation
in 1998.
The second film is a 20 minute long film about producer-director Stanley
Kramer (The Kramer Impact) in occassion of the 90th anniversary
of his death, after being at the Stanley Kramer Memorial at the Directors
Guild of America, in March 2001. It took him three years to finish it.
This particular film brings the chance to refresh the conscience, focuses the thoughts of a great filmmaker, who never made a film without a message or without establishing a human point in them
