A few days after the military coup on September 11, 1973 Augusto Pinochet presented the secret plan “Z” to “prove” that the military putsch supposedly forestalled the left-wing coup by taking place a few days earlier and thus saved the country from a civil war.

German television journalist Wilfried Huismann and Chilean colleague Raul Sohr set off to clarify the mystery surrounding plan “Z”. Their investigative Journey through Chile shows and proves that the plan “Z” was a fabrication of the military secret service, a means of “psychological warfare” to justify the coup. A sensational and exclusive confession.

Wilfried Huismann (born in Germany in 1951) studied social science and history at University of Marburg and University of Hannover. In 1981 he started development aid work in poor section of Santiago de Chile and freelance journalist activities. In 1987 he became a member of staff for MONITOR - television program involving critical news report. He is an author of books and numerous radio features.
